Brett Donovan is a Brooklyn-based “writer” and “comedian” who decided to “move” to Brooklyn, NY in 2019 to try performing stand-up. He has written and acted in sketch comedy at NYC venues such as the Peoples Improv Theater (PIT), Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC), and Caveat. He's performed in shows with groups such as College Radio, Bragging Rights, and Pocket Candy, as well as digital shorts for GOLD Comedy.

In September 2024, he created the digital sketch group Alamo Basement, which he also writes, edits, and produces. One of their sketches was featured during the ‘Digital Hour’ in the PIT’s 2024 SketchFest.

He’s also the current in-house Creative Strategist for a NYC-based production company, possessing 7+ years of professional experience in writing and copywriting roles. He previously contributed articles on television and film to Screen Rant, and wrote cultural features and hard news for a local newspaper based in Eastern Connecticut.
